Celebrate Black History Month in North East Lincolnshire and mark the 60th anniversary of the Windrush Arrivals
By announcement of the Council for Young People's Returning Officer, Jamie Lee, the winners of the UK Youth Parliament elections for the 2008-10 term are Becky Smith (MYP) and Jordana Flint (DMYP).

From 8am on Tuesday 25th March, voting for North East Lincolnshire's new Member and Deputy Member of the UK Youth Parliament will officially begin! With10 people (or 5 'Dream Teams') standing for election, this year is our biggest ever!
You will be able to vote online and via text message until midnight on Thursday 27th March by following the instructions on the ballot paper that you will receive through your school. If you do not receive one by Wednesday, just ask one of your Citizenship teachers about it, or get in touch with us at councilforyoungpeople@msn.com!
The first meeting of the brand new North East Lincolnshire School Councils' Forum took place on March 11th 2008.
The group met at the Grimsby Town Hall, bringing together representatives from the school councils over half of all secondary schools in the area.

Stand to be a Member of Youth Parliament!
The
UK Youth Parliament is a national organisation representing every young
person aged 12-18 in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
So if you live or go to school in North East Lincolnshire, you're entitled to vote or even stand for election this March!
As an MYP you get to go to regional and national meetings with other
MYPs, meet politicians including government Ministers, and it looks
great on your CV!
