Celebrate Black History Month in North East Lincolnshire and mark the 60th anniversary of the Windrush Arrivals
YouthBank is a UK-Wide Grant making initiative run by young people for young people. It is all about action and that’s action carried out by young people.
Through YouthBank, young people can explore opportunities not normally open to them e.g. handling decisions about money, having the power to make change and working alongside adults. It’s about young people putting their ideas into action and practicing their rights to make decisions to benefit their community.
North East Lincolnshire YouthBank is a group of young people from across the region who meets weekly to consider applications for funding from young people aged 13 – 19 years. They undertake training, residential and other activities which enhances their skills in grant making to enable them to support other young people in the grant making process.
YouthBank is unique in that it is young people themselves who make decisions about how NEL YouthBank is managed and run. It is supported by the North East Lincolnshire Young People’s Service.
NEL YouthBank is looking to get more young people aged 13-19 involved in helping make the decsions how they think funding should be spent to help young people just like you.
We offer all members free training on grant making through OCN, the chance to help develope your personal skills, being involved in organising fun events, make all the decsions on funding applications and have some fun too.
You will also be apart of a UK wide group of Young People supporting YouthBank Uk. this also mean you get the chance to go to UK wide summer residentials, give other young people training, meet new people, travel and get involved in regional projects.
We are hpoing to do an exchange with Irelands YouthBank and would like 7 young poeple to get involved in organising and running the event.

NEL YouthBank have been hard at work to produce a new information booklet for young people to access across North East Lincolnshire.
It's short, sweet and straight to the point explaining what we do and how we could help young people just like you by funding new projects for young people aged 13-19.
