More about Trin

What Happens at Trin Young People's Centre?

The programme at Trin includes diverse opportunities to develop personal and social skills and offers choices to young people, which enable them to raise personal awareness and participate in fund raising voluntary action and peer education.

How do we do this?
We have a team of skilled staff who work with young people on a variety of activities and projects. Some of the projects take place at the Young People's Centre and some in other venues in the area including Schools.

What Projects and Activities do we offer?

Evening Provision

The Young People's Centre is open 5 nights per week from 7.00pm – 9.30pm Monday to Friday.  (Thursday is classed as Special Events night and is not open every week)

Daytime Provision

Trin Young People's Centre is very active in providing one to one support and groups work in local secondary schools around a range of issues including Bullying and Sexual Health and Relationships along with other issues that might effect young people.

Programmes within the centre include work with groups of young people that are excluded from school. The purpose of this is Citizenship and explores opportunities for further education and training.

The centre also offers accredited courses in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Babysitting. These courses are available to young people at certain times of the year.
